Verbal tenancy agreement

French law does recognize a verbal tenancy agreement so be careful what you say to prospective tenants. In the case of a verbal tenancy agreement, the courts only recognize the bare minimum of clauses. A clear and concise, written agreement is always preferable.

Yes, absolutely. Actually, this is my first time to hear that in France, verbal agreement in tenancy is accepted. But either way, it is better to have black and white agreement- the tenant should ask for a written one.
